SNAG x Detroit, 2026

I had a great time at the Society of North American Goldsmiths (SNAG) conference in Detroit! This was the first time since the COVID pandemic that I’ve been able to attend, and I was quite excited to be able to go! The theme of the conference was Labor & Legacy. There were wonderful, informative presentations and discussions, great demos, excellent work, and amazing people!

I was able to pick up some great books: Jewelry Technology in the Ancient & Medieval World by Jack Ogden, and Chainmaking for Jewelers, by Matthieu Cheminée. I am really looking forward to gettin into these books! They will be a great compliment to the book I got at the last SNAG conference I went to in Chicago in 2019, Bright Lights in the Dark Ages, by Noël Adams.

I also had the pleasure of taking part in the Trunk Show again this year, which was a great experience! Thank you to everyone involved, I hope to see you all again at the next conference! Below are a few of the pictures I took at the conference.
